Respite

One of the services offered to individuals and their families are respite services, which are provided in the intermediate care homes.  Depending on the needs of the individual a determination is made as to which of the six locations would best serve them.  Consideration is given to space accommodations within the residences, staffing needs, ambulation requirements and so forth. 

A condition of the respite program is that individuals attend day services as staffing is not provided during weekday hours.  Arrangements are authorized through the County Board SSA under the waiver program or on a self-pay basis.
